Uruguay vs Argentina Prediction 1 September 2017
On September 1 2017 at 00:00 in Montevideo at the Estadio Centenario in the main game of the 15th round of the CONMEBOL UEFA World Cup qualification Uruguay national team will play against Argentina.
Uruguay had a rather good start in the current qualification campaign. They were the second best scorers after Argentina and yet that wasn’t always enough for them to outplay their competitors. They lost in the latest game against Peru 2:1 and it was their third loss in a row. Before that Uruguay lost to Brazil 1:4 and Chile 3:1.
As for Argentina, they had to face a lot of difficult situations lately. They are now in rather controversial situation as they only take the fifth place in the stnadigns and aren’t even sure if they will manage to make it to the final of the competition. In the latest round Argentina sensationally lost to Bolivia 2:0. We must admit anyway that the White and Blues have already played two games with the new coach Sampaoli and they won both of these matches 0:1 against Brazil and 0:6 against Singapore.
The teams have played 5 games against each other since 2011 where Argentina won 4 times while Uruguay won once. Considering the previous matches of the teams and their head-to-heads we must say that Argentina are the favorites of the upcoming match and they will definitely manage to avoid a loss.
