Celta de Vigo vs Villarreal Prediction 17 December 2017
On December 17 2017 at 15:15 in the upcoming regular game of the 16th matchday of the Spanish Primera Division at the Estadio de Balaidos in Vigo the local Celta are playing against their guests Villarreal.
Everybody is used to the fact that there are always a lot of goals scored in the matches of Celta and yet we don’t think that the upcoming game will be a one like that.
Villarreal have a lot of players injured and there is only one forward remaining in their squad. Consequently, it will be really difficult for them to score even against Celta. They will probably try to concentrate on defense and not to concede a lot. They have already used that tactics before and it gave them its fruits.
As for Celta, their matches are really spectacular in the current season. Yet, this time it may be really difficult for them to score against the team with strong defense. As a result they lost points in the matches against the teams with well-organized defenders like Alaves, Getafe and Leganes. Celta will probably try to cross to the box of the competitors which isn’t supposed to help them many times.
Despite the fact that both teams are very efficient, we think that this time they won’t be like that at all. Villarreal won’t play open football this time at the Balaidos Stadium. They will probably try to play safely. Moreover, Villa don’t have a lot of players who can attack well. As for Celta, they, in their turn, don’t know how to play against the competitors like that; they aren’t patient enough to keep trying until they score.
All of these reasons make us think that there will not be a lot of goals scored this time.
