Queens Park Rangers vs Barnsley Prediction 3 February 2018

Tournament: Football League Championship
Location: Loftus Road Stadium
Match date: 03.02.2018 at 15:00

On February 3 2018 at 15:00 in the upcoming match of the 30th game week of the English Football League Championship at the Loftus Road Stadium in London the local Queens Park Rangers are playing against their guests Barnsley.

It may seem surprising and yet in their 12 home matches against Barnsley QPR unexpectedly won 11 times. They only drew once in the far 1999.

In the season 2017/18 the Rings are much stronger in their home games compared to the away ones. In their 14 matches played at the Loftus Road QPR gained 22 points while in the away ones they only gained 11. We may actually say that they are a team of domestic results. We must admit that in the current season the Rings haven’t lost at home playing against the teams which are lower in the standings compared to them as they outplayed Reading 2:0 and Hull City 2:1 and drew Burton Albion 0:0. Their home losses were only against the teams from the first half of the standings.

That’s why it seems to us that despite the bad position in the standings after 29 matches gained; it seems to us that QPR may be able to gain points in the match against one of the outsiders of the league. The scheme 3-5-2 they usually use lets them control the center of the pitch. The forwards of the team score enough and cooperate with midfielders really well which seems to be very important when they choose to dominate.

As for Barnsley, they are just one point above Bolton, who are in the relegation zone. They have 27 points gained after 29 matches played. They only won once in their latest 14 matches and they did it in the game against the outsiders Sunderland. They aren’t very impressive in their way matches either as they have only gained 13 points in them due to the fact that they only won three times and lost seven times. They usually play with the 4-5-1 scheme, which isn’t efficient enough in case they don’t have strong center defenders.

Considering all of the facts we have already mentioned make us think that the hosts are very likely to win or at least to gain one point.
