Birmingham City vs Huddersfield Town Prediction 6 February 2018

Tournament: English FA Cup
Location: St. Andrew’s Stadium
Match date: 06.02.2018 at 19:45

On February 6 2018 at 19:45 in the upcoming match of the English FA Cup at the St. Andrew’s Stadium the local Birmingham City are playing against their guests Huddersfield Town.

A week and a half ago Birmingham drew in their first leg game against Huddersfield 1:1 and this time they will play their second leg game. Of course, Birmingham didn’t attack a lot and chose to concentrate on defense and yet we can’t say that they didn’t deserve that draw. They managed to avoid scoring a lot and their attack managed to equalize in a difficult situation, so they looked rather solid even playing away from home.

This time they will be playing at home with their domestic fans supporting them. It’s important to mention now that Birmingham are in rather good conditions now. They only lost one of their latest eight matches played while they won five times. There is no doubt that Birmingham will try their best in the upcoming match as they tried very hard to deserve that second leg game in the previous match. We must also admit that Birmingham have a very good squad as there are a lot of skilled and experienced players in it.

As for the guests, they don’t seem to be ready to compete in the national cup now. They are now on the one before last position in the standings because of the lose-streak they are having ow. Huddersfield really need to gain points to avoid relegation after the end of the season. They also lost in four of the latest five matches played. Moreover, Huddersfield have only won once in their latest ten matches played which is too few for the team of the national championship. Moreover, they have a lot of important players missing from the squad because of the injuries. They also need to keep their leaders safe before the upcoming important matches against the direct competitors in the English Premier League.

It seems to us that Huddersfield won’t have enough strength to continue their way in the FA Cup and to compete for staying in the national elite division. The second task is obviously much more important and that’s they will probably have to give up on the cup competition. Moreover, Birmingham are in much better conditions now and that’s why it seems to us that the hosts are much more likely to avoid a loss this time.
