Belgian government to make amendments to gambling legislation

A new bill will be introduced in Belgium next year, which will make amendments to the local gambling legislation, Tatiana Claeser, the representative of Claeser Avocat claims.

Particularly, the amendments limit the activities of partners of gambling operators. Developers will be able to promote their services with the help of their websites or electronic marketing. Moreover, a number of bonus offers will be decreased and limits will be set.

According to Tatiana Claeser, the Belgian government will block partnership websites. It would be pretty unprofitable for the branch, if the operators will not promote their services. If the amendments will be adopted, they will come into force in the third quarter of 2018. Consultations regarding all raised questions will be held every eight months.
