Spezia Calcio vs Hellas Verona F.C. Prediction 11 June 2023

This coming Sunday we will see the last match of the 2022/23 season in Serie A between relegation-bound Spezia and Verona.

With only 31 points on a goal difference of 31:62, Spezia finished in seventeenth position, demonstrating extremely low-level football throughout the championship. We would like to note that in the previous five meetings, the Eaglets dealt with Milan (2:0), drew 0:0 with Lecce, losing 0:2 to Cremonese, 0:4 to Torino and 1:2 to Roma.

While Verona, after a 1:0 triumph over the aforementioned Lecce, completely failed the next four meetings with Torino (0:1), Atalanta (1:3), Empoli (1:1) and Milan (1:3). It is not surprising that at such a pace the Mastiffs finished the tournament in eighteenth place, and only the equality of points with the seventeenth line saved them from direct relegation.

Earlier this year, the teams played a boring goalless draw, showing their frankly weak attacking potential. We won't be surprised if we don't see any scoring extravaganza from Spezia and Verona in the play-out either.
