Mexico vs Costa Rica Prediction 9 July 2023

On Sunday morning we will see the quarter-final match of the CONCACAF Gold Cup between Mexico and Costa Rica.

Mexico won a ticket to the playoffs after two more starting rounds, when it dealt with Honduras (4:0) and Haiti (3:1). And then El Tri unexpectedly lost 0:1 to Qatar, which, however, did not prevent them from finishing first in their group with six points in the asset and a goal difference of 7:2.

While Costa Rica achieved its goal, defeating Martinique with a wild score of 6:4 and literally at the last moment breaking into second position in the quartet C. Nevertheless, after misfires with Panama (1:2) and El Salvador (0:0), Ticos' prospects in this tournament looked extremely vague.

In our opinion, Mexico will justify its status as one of the favorites of the Gold Cup and get a spectacular victory over an opponent that is noticeably inferior to them in class.
