In the first round of the Belgian Jupiler League, the ambitious Brugge will face the strong middle-tier Mechelen.

After several league titles in a row, Brugge frankly failed the previous season and took only fourth place. Because of this, the Blue-Blacks went to the Conference League, where they defeated Aarhus 3-0 prior to that. And before that there were two wins and three defeats in friendly matches.
