FC Astana vs GNK Dinamo Zagreb Prediction 2 August 2023

On Wednesday afternoon we will see another match of the Champions League second qualifying round between Astana and Dinamo Zagreb.

Back in mid-July, Astana defeated Dinamo Tbilisi with a minimal score advantage (1:1, 2:1), after which it experienced a slight decline in the league of Kazakhstan. There, the Yellow-Blues failed to break the resistance of Atyrau (0:0) and Kyzylzhar (0:1), which is why they remained on the second line of the standings.

At the start of the season, Dinamo Zagreb exchanged victories with Haiduk - after the triumph in the Super Cup (1:0), it lost to the sworn enemy in the league (1-2). And prior to that, the Capitals dealt with Istra 1961 (3:0) in a spectacular style, and now they are doing everything possible to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League again.

A week ago, Dinamo Zagreb won 4-0, thanks to which it can lose to Kazakhstan without much strain. We won't be surprised if the hosts still manage to sweeten the bitterness of relegation by at least not losing in the second leg.
