Manchester City F.C. vs Red Star Belgrade Prediction 19 September 2023

In matchday 1 of the Champions League, the current title holders Manchester City will start with a meeting with Red Star.

Manchester City's season started in the first half of August, when they first lost to Arsenal in the FA Super Cup, after which they defeated Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup. And within the Premier League, Guardiola’s men got five victories in five duels with Burnley (3:0), Newcastle (1:0), Sheffield United (2:1), Fulham (5:1) and West Ham (3:1).

Red Star had an impeccable season in 2022/23, following which they became the champions of Serbia. However, now Red Star are going through hard times. We would like to note that over the past month they have won routine victories over Mladost (4:1), Spartak Subbotica (3:0) and Novi Pazar (2:1), while losing 2:3 to Vozdovac and 1:2 to Čukarički.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Manchester City showed a real master class to Red Star, between whom there is a huge difference in class. A great chance for Erling Haaland to continue his scoring exploits on the continental stage.
