Finland vs Kazakhstan Prediction 17 October 2023

Representatives of Group H Finland and Kazakhstan will play each other in the eighth round of the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament.

Two defeats from Denmark (0:1) and Slovenia (0:3) dropped Finland to third position with 12 points and a goal difference of 11:7, significantly worsening its chances in the fight for a direct ticket to the Euro. But before that, the Owls defeated Slovenia (2:0), San Marino (6:0) and Kazakhstan (1:0).

In a similar period of time, Kazakhstan turned out to be stronger than San Marino (3:0) and Northern Ireland (1:0, 1:0), and also suffered defeats from the a priori higher-status Finland (0:1) and Denmark (1:3). However, even the current fourth place with 12 points and scored-conceded balance of 10:8 is still a huge achievement for the Blue and Yellows.

In our opinion, despite the equality of tournament performance, the level of the Finland team is still much higher. We don’t think that Kazakhstan will be able to create insurmountable difficulties for the favorite away.
