Borussia Dortmund vs Benfica Prediction 8 March 2017

On March 8 2017 at 19:45 in one of the two regular games of the season leg of the Champions League Play-offs round of 16 in Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion the local Borussia will compete with Benfica for making it to the next round of the competition. (The result of the first leg game was 0:1)

Borussia Dortmund made a series of serious mistakes at the start of the championship and now, even though they are among the leaders of the Bundesliga, they still almost have no chances to become the champions of it as they are 13 points below Bayern. As for the first leg game of the current stage of the champions League in Portugal, Borussia seemed to be better then their rivals from any point of view, yet the final score didn’t reflect that advantage.

As for Benfica, they have been on the top of the table of the national championship for a long time. They still keep winning in every game not looking back at their closest competitors which are just one point below them. Anyway, Benfica show great results both in home and away matches. In fact, we must admit that they sometimes look more reliable in the away matches anyway.

The second leg game on March 8 will be the second match played between the teams. Even though Borussia Dortmund lost their previous game, they still have really good chances to make it to the next stage of the competition as they will definitely be extremely motivated with their incredible fans supporting them. Considering the fact that Borussia haven’t lost a single home game this season makes us think that we will have an opportunity to watch BVB in the quarterfinal of the Champions League this season.
