Celta vs Real Madrid Prediction 17 May 2017
On May 17 2017 at 20:00 in the postponed game of the 21st matchday of the Spanish La Liga at the Balaidos Stadium in Vigo the local Celta are going to meet Real Madrid.
Celta seemed to try their best and concentrate on the Europa League instead of competing in the national elite division. That stake was obviously wrong as they lost to Manchester Untied in the semifinal and were kicked-off from the competition. There are two games left to play in the national championship for Celta. They are far above the relegation zone and they shouldn’t be afraid of it at all, yet the 13th position is a really bad one for Celta. Moreover, the loss to Alaves 3:1 in the latest match was the fifth one in a row in the national championship for them. Not long ago Celta lost to Malaga, Athletic, Sevilla and Betis.
As for Real Madrid, the forthcoming match against Celta will be the most important one for them in the current season of the national elite division. Real Madrid have the same number of points as Barcelona and they are on the second position only because of worse goal difference. If they won their match against the Celts, the Madridistas will take the first place in the table. We should also admit that Real will have to play their last match against Malaga and even though it will be an away one for Los Blancos, they will still probably win it.
The results of the latest games played between the teams show the advantage of Real Madrid as they won three of the latest five games played against Celta. Celta gained nothing in the current season and they are very likely to be just waiting for it to end. As for Real, they outplayed Sevilla in their latest match 4:1 and they are still extremely motivated as they have really good chances to win the league. We don’t think that Real will have any problems with Celta and they will get one step closer to the title of the champions.
