Schalke vs Leipzig Prediction 19 August 2017
On August 19 2017 at 17:30 in one of the opening games of the German Bundesliga at the Veltins Arena the local Schalke are going to play against Leipzig.
Schalke were rather unstable in the previous season and, as a result, they were between the outsiders and the middle-peasants all through the season. In their 34 matches played in the national elite division they won 11 times, drew 10 times and lost 13 times with 45:40 goal difference. Their 43 points gained appeared to be enough to take the 10th place in the standings. A lot of serious changes have been made in Schalke and the replacement of the manager was one of them.
As for Leipzig, they are considered to be one of the most hated clubs of Germany. The main reason for this is the fact that the directors of the club don’t really respect the traditions which are very important for the fans in Germany. The fact that the sponsor’s details appeared on the logo of the club was one of the things which offended the fans. Anyway, Leipzig managed to respond to all of the critics with the second place in the standings they took in their previous season in the Bundesliga which was the first one for them. As a result, Leipzig are going to take part in the group stage of the Champions League.
The teams only played two games against each other in their history. Leipzig won in one of them while the teams drew in the second one. Both teams started the season with the matches in the national cup and they both won their matches. Anyway, it seems to us that Leipzig are in better conditions now and, as a result, they are more likely to win in the forthcoming game.
