Wales vs Austria Prediction 2 September 2017
On September 2 2017 at 19:45 in Cardiff at the Cardiff City Stadium the regular game of the UEFA World Cup qualification campaign will be played between Wales and Austria national football teams.
Wales showed really sensational results at the Euros last summer as they managed to make it to the very quarterfinal of it with impressive character and cooperation. After that great performance they were also expected to do the same in the World Cup qualification. Yet, their results are by far not perfect as they outplayed Moldova 4:0 in the first match and after that drew in all of the remaining five matches.
As for Austria, they were expected to at least make it to the play-offs of the final of the Euros and yet they took the last place in the standings of their group. Anyway, the manager was allowed to try again in the next campaign and yet they seem to need some changes after the first round in their World Cup qualification group. In their six matches played since the beginning of the campaign Austria won twice drew twice and lost twice which let them take the 4th place in the standings.
The teams have already played four matches against each other since 2005. In those games Austria won twice while wales won once and the teams drew once in October last year. We think that Wales will manage to avoid a loss in the upcoming home games with the domestic fans supporting.
