Girona vs Sevilla Prediction 17 September 2017
On September 17 2017 at 15:15 in Girona at the Montilivi Municipal Stadium in the upcoming game of the 4th matchday of the Spanish Primera the local Girona will play against Sevilla.
Girona took the second place in the stnadigns of the Segunda Division in the previous season and made it to the Primera. Considering the fact that Girona weren’t always really confident in defense in the previous season we didn’t actually expect them to be successful in the new championship. Yet, they had their own opinion on this and drew Atletico Madrid in the first game 2:2. They obviously felt confident after that and outplayed Malaga 1:0 in the next match. Anyway, we didn’t have to wait too long for their first mistake and it happened in the third match. Girona lost to Athletic Bilbao 2:0 in it.
As for Sevilla, they made it to the group stage of the Champions League which was their main task for the beginning of the season. That’s probably why their performance at the beginning of the national championship was a bit controversial. They managed to avoid losses in those matches and yet they didn’t manage to avoid losing points. One of the draws they have already had was a one in the match against Liverpool in the first round of the champions League group stage as they played 2:2 at the Anfield. As for the Primera Division, they started it with the draw in the match against Espanyol 1:1 and after that they outplayed Getafe 0:1 and Eibar 3:0.
The must admit that the upcoming game will be the first one played between Girona and Sevilla in the same league. Even though Sevilla are considered to be the absolute favorites of the upcoming game, they still looked really well in the previous home matches and they deservedly managed to avoid losses in them.
