Ireland vs Moldova Prediction 6 October 2017

Tournament: 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification
Location: Aviva Stadium. Dublin
Match date: 06.10.2017 at 19:45

On October 6 2017 at 19:45 in the upcoming regular game of the 9th round of the 2018 World Cup qualification at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin the local Ireland Republic will play against Moldova.

Ireland have only taken part in the finals of the World Cups and Euros six times in their history. Last time they did it was in 2002 at the world Cup when they made it to the round of 16 of it. In the current qualifiers Ireland had really good chances to make it to the final and yet the series of draws to Wales, Austria and Georgia and the loss to Serbia in the latest match made them go down to the third place in the table. They are now one point below the second place and five points below the first place.

As for Moldova, they usually participate in the qualifications of the international forums and yet they have never made it to the finals of them. In the current qualification for the World Cup in Russia Moldova have no chances to take part in the final at all. They only draw in their games against Georgia and lost in the end of the matches. Moldova are the absolute outsiders of their group as they are on the last place in the standings with two points gained and 4:20 goal difference.

The first round game of the current qualifiers was the first one played between the teams in their history. In that match Ireland left no chances for Moldova and won 1:3. The upcoming game in Dublin is a very important one for Ireland and they will have to try really hard to gain their three points. We don’t think that Moldova will have anything to show in the match against Ireland and the hosts will win confidently in the upcoming match.
