Southampton vs Crystal Palace Prediction 2 January 2018
On January 2 2018 at 19:45 at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Hampshire in the upcoming regular match of the 22nd game week of the English Premier League the local Southampton will play against their guests Crystal Palace.
We don’t really need to talk about the perspectives of Southampton in the current season. The Saints are in a really difficult situation as they show really poor results and they may make it to the relegation zone. The series of mistakes they keep making only let the team take the 18th position in the standings and take the 14th place in the table. In the boxing-day period Southampton played their two games where they drew Huddersfield 1:1 and lost to Tottenham 5:2. Besides they are also going to play their match at the Old Trafford at the end of the 2017.
As for Crystals Palace, they broke their 8 matches long series in the previous game against Arsenal on December 28. They lost to the Gunners 2:3 and stayed on the 16th position I the table and still they are now just one point above the relegation zone. We must also admit that on December 31 the Crystals are having their home game against Manchester city and they are supposed to lose in it.
Southampton have an advantage in the history of head-to-heads of the teams as they won four of their five latest games played since May 2016. Anyway, Southampton are really poor at the moment and their manager seems to have lost control over the team. We think that the draw in the match against Crystal Palace will be a good result for them and the visitors will probably manage to avoid a loss this time.
