Nice vs Saint-Etienne Prediction 21 January 2018
On January 21 2018 at 14:00 at the Allianz Riviera Stadium in the upcoming regular game of the 22nd game week of the French Ligue 1 the hosts of the stadium Nice will play against Saint-Etienne.
Everybody is waiting for Saint-Etienne to concentrate and start gaining points. Well, we don’t think it’s going to happen in the upcoming match. Nice have won the national championship four times in their history and last time it happened was in the season 1958/59. Their best times are obviously far gone and yet in the current season they managed to become the team which can actually surprise their competitors. Their position in the Serie A is getting better all the time. They haven’t lost for seven games in a row already and moreover they showed really good performance in the latest match against Monaco where they could even gain points if Falcao didn’t score on the 92nd minute. They also won their latest three games at the domestic stadium.
As for Saint-Etienne, they keep being really unstable and unreliable. They are on the 19th pace in the league according to the number of goals conceded. There is just one team which has worse results and it’s mostly because they conceded 8 goals in the latest game against PSG.
In the current season Saint-Etienne outplayed Nice with one goal scored in the first round of the national championship t their domestic stadium. Yet, in the previous season Nice won both of their games against Saint-Etienne and they also did it with just one goal scored.
We must also admit that Saint-Etienne look really horrible in the current season in their away games. They only won three times in their 10 away matches played and they did it in the games against the teams from the second half of the table. They lost their seven remaining matches. Nice aren’t perfect at home as they also won six home games of eleven ones played this season. Anyway the hosts are much more likely to be the favorites of the upcoming match.
