Manchester City vs Brighton and Hove Prediction 9 May 2018

Tournament: English Premier League
Location: Etihad Stadium
Match date: 09.05.2018 at 20:00

On May 9 2018 at 20:00 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester in the upcoming postponed game of the 31st game week the local Manchester City will play against their guests Brighton and Hove Albion.

We really think that the hosts are going to win in the upcoming match and to do it with a convincing score and we will try to explain why we think so. The visitors aren’t very motivated before the upcoming match. Firstly, they are having an easier match in four days where they will play against Liverpool who have a few missing players from the squad and who are going to prepare for the Champions League final game. Moreover, the level of the Citizens is obviously much higher compared to Brighton and that’s why they won’t probably waste too much energy playing against them.

Secondly, Brighton are no longer very motivated from the tournament point of view as they have already secured their place in the EPL due to the victory against Manchester United. Brighton won’t be relegated and they won’t definitely make it to the Euro Cups. That’s actually why they may not try too hard this time.

The Citizens have already won the league and yet they may still try and won with a big score for a few reasons. Firstly, they are playing at home with their domestic fans watching this time and they may actually wish to pay for all of the support they have been receiving during the season. Moreover, Manchester City have already finished participating in all of the Euro Cups and national cups and their players still need practice before the World Cup.

One more thing we msut admit is that Manchester City will be able to break the record of the English Premier League in the number of points gained and number of goasl scored during one season.

Manchester City won 15 of their 18 home games played in the current season with 58:13 goal difference. In the first round game of the currnet season Brighton  lost to Manchester City at home with 0:2 score all of the facts we have already mentioned make us think that the Citizens are going to win this time and to do it with a convincing score.
