Iceland vs Ghana Prediction 7 June 2018

Tournament: International Friendlies
Location: Laugardalsvollur Stadium, Reykjavik
Match date: 07.06.2018 at 21:00

On June 7 2018 at 21:00 at the Laugardalsvollur Stadium in Reykjavik in the upcoming international friendly match the local Iceland national team will play against Ghana national football team.

Iceland have already lost three three friendly games during their preparation for the World Cup. They were outplayed by Mexico, Peru and Norway and they conceded three goals in each of those matches while they only scored two in all of these games. In their friendly games in Autumn Iceland lost to Czech Republic and didn’t manage to win against Qatar. In nine day they will have their match against Argentina at the group stage of the World Cup and isn’t it time for them to get a bit more ready for it. It seems to us like they will have their chances to break that bad series. They are supposed to get into their best conditions right before the start of their first Mundial in the history. The factor of the domestic pitch is also supposed to help Iceland. It seems to us that a lot of home fans will want to see their national team before the World Cup in Russia.

As for Ghana, they aren’t supposed to be very motivated before the upcoming match. They came to the Reykjavik from Japan which means a long flight with a lot of time zones change. Moreover, they didn’t make it to the World Cup this time and they don’t probably be in very good conditions. Moreover, Ghana haven’t outplayed European teams in their friendly games since 2010 in five matches. One more thing is that Ghana don’t have a lot of experienced players in their squad in that friendly match as they only have 7 players who have played more than ten games for their national team.

All of the facts we have already mentioned make us think that the hosts are much more likely to avoid a loss this time.
