Benfica vs PAOK Prediction 21 August 2018

On August 21 2018 at 20:00 at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in the forthcoming game of the UEFA Champions League qualification play-offs the local Benfica will play against their guests PAOK. That is going to be the main game of Tuesday in the Champions League play-offs between the silver medalists of Portuguese and Greece championships. While Benfica usually participate in the Champions League, PAOK are only getting their chance to make it there for the first time in a long time.

The Portuguese successfully outplayed Fenerbahce in the previous round of the qualification with 2:1 goal difference. The Eagles started the national championship with two victories in the first two matches. Moreover, in July they participated in the International Champions Cup as you see, Benfica are in great conditions and are ready for the new challenges.

As for PAOK, they started their way in the Champions League qualification much earlier. At the beginning the Greece outplayed Basel with 5:1 general score and after that won against the Russian Spartak 3:2. Their national championship hasn’t started yet so those four games are the only ones in the new season for PAOK. They are obviously going to try their best to make it to the next stage of the most prestigious competition of the Old World.

The Portuguese are considered to be the favorites of the first match as they have a better squad and they are obviously much more experienced in the Champions League. That’s actually why it seems to us that the hosts are going to win their game in Lisboa.
