Wolfsburg vs Schalke Prediction 25 August 2018
On August 25 2018 at 14:30 at the Volkswagen Arena in the first game of the new season of the German Bundesliga the local Wolfsburg are playing against their guests Schalke. That is going to be a game between the unstable wolves and the current vice champions of the country.
The previous season wasn’t very successful for Wolfsburg as they only took the 16th position in the standings of the German Bundesliga and had to fight for staying in the league in the play-offs against Holstein. In the current season they have only played one game in the national cup where they outplayed the amateur team with just one goal scored.
As for Schalke, they took the second place in the standings of the championship and now they are going to participate in the group stage of the Champions League. That success was possible due to the continuous and hard work of their manager Domenico Tedesco and a big group of young players. Two of those players left the team during the preseason and yet those players who stayed in the team are still able to show solid performance in the Champions League.
Schalke are considered to be the favorites of the upcoming match and yet Wolfsburg will have their support of the fans at the domestic stadium. Both of the teams choose to defend a lot and that’s why we don’t think that we should wait for a lot of goals scored this time.
