Borussia Dortmund vs Leipzig Prediction 26 August 2018

On August 26 2018 at 17:00 at the Signal-Iduna-Park in Dortmund in the upcoming regular match of the first game week of the German Bundesliga the local Borussia are playing against Leipzig. Both of the teams have been participating in the Euro Cups in the last few years. This time they will try their best to start the season in the national championship with a good result.

Borussia obviously failed in the previous season. They hardly took the fourth position in the championship and in the Europa League they made it to the Round of 16 and were kicked-off from it by the Austrian Salzburg. During the preseason campaign they got another manager who is supposed to work a lot on improving the defense of the team. Unfortunately, there are now highest quality forwards in the squad of Borussia so we aren’t sure about how efficient they are going to be.

As for Leipzig, they had a rather difficult match in the Europa League in the middle of the current week where they drew Zorya from Luhansk. The competitors played almost the whole match with one player sent-off and that’s why the result is even less satisfying. Noe they will try their best to start the season in the national championship well to find their inspiration for the second leg match in the Europa League next week.

We really don’t think that there will be a lot of goals scored in that upcoming game in Dortmund. Borussia will try to concentrate on defense while Leipzig will have some of the problems attacking for the second time in three days. That’s why we think that the teams won’t score a lot this time.
