Bayern Munich host Werder Bremen at Allianz Arena on the first matchday of the Bundesliga.

There’s no reason to believe the visitors will show something similar to giant-killing in the German curtain opener. Bayern are in solid form, they have won German Super Cup (2:0 against Dortmund) and had quality game against Jena in the national cup (5:0). On top of that, Bayern won their last 5 home matchups against Werder with 24:3 goal difference. That’s why we stick with the hosts.

Nevertheless, the game won’t be high-scoring. They say, attacking wins games, defense wins titles. Ancelotti was appointed for only one reason to win Champions League trophy. When Italian manager took over Real few years ago, he started with reorganizing defense. This will lead to temporary problems with attack as it happened to Madrid.
