Mali vs Ivory Coast Prediction 8 July 2019

On July 8 2019 at 17:00 at the new Suez Stadium in the upcoming regular match of the Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 Mali national football team will play against Ivory Coast national football team. This is going to be the match between two teams which looked really solid at the group stage and now they won’t stop in the play-offs.

Mali took the first place in their group with seven points gained and 6:2 goal difference and this was how they proved to be a really solid team which chooses to attack a lot. This approach gave them their fruits and in the previous matches the Green and Yellows outplayed Mauritania and Angola and also drew Tunisia.

As for Ivory Coast, they finished their group on the second place with 6 points gained and 5:2 goal difference. At the group stage the Elephants outplayed South Africa and Namibia and didn’t manage to gain points playing against Morocco. As you see, this national team isn’t very solid playing against the strong competitors and that is why it won’t probably be easy for them to fight for the victory this time.

Yet, the bookmakers still think that Ivory Coast will be the favorites of the upcoming match as they are considered to be higher in their level compared to Mali. We don’t think that the Elephants will score a lot this time but we are still sure that they will score a few goals.
