Faroe Islands vs Portugal Prediction 10 October 2016

Faroe Islands are not the best team on the continent and are usually the outsiders of any competition they take part in. predictably they missed the previous international competition Euro 2016 as they didn’t manage to show good results during the qualification. In the current qualification Faroe Islands show really good results as for them. In the first game they drew Hungary 0:0 and after that confidently won against Latvia. Yet, these good results were shown against not the strongest teams of the group.

Portugal won their first serious competition this year. Even though they became the champions of Europe this summer, they still left pretty ambiguous impressions with their performance. Their results were very unconvincing all through the competition. In the current qualification Portugal lost to Switzerland 2:0 and after that won against the obvious outsider of the group Andorra 6:0.

In the history of head-to-heads of the teams there was only one game played. It was a friendly match in August 2008 and Portugal won with devastating 5:0. Of course, Portugal are the team of higher quality, they have much more experience in international competitions and are the champions of Europe. That is why everybody is expecting them to win confidently.
