Shakhtar Donetsk vs AS Roma Prediction 18 March 2021

The second leg match of the Europa League round of 16 between Shakhtar Donetsk and Roma is scheduled for next Thursday.

For a long time after the winter break, Shakhtar could not find their game, but nevertheless they managed to pass Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League round of 32. Before that, the Pitmen played in the Champions League, where they finished third in a quartet with Real Madrid, Borussia Monchengladbach and Inter. And prior to the matchm they smashed Desna 4:0 in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Last weekend Roma turned out to be weaker than Parma (0:2), which is why they dropped out of the top four in Serie A. But Giallorossi are very good in European competitions. First they took the first position in the Europa League group with Young Boys, Cluj and CSKA Sofia. And in the debut round of the playoffs, the Romans defeated Braga twice - 3:1, 2:0.

As we see it, after 0:3 in the first game, Shakhtar have practically no chances to make it to the quarterfinals. But the Ukrainian club is able to end the Euroseason on a positive note, as Roma will probably come to Kyiv in a relaxed state.
