Athletic Bilbao vs Valencia CF Prediction 10 February 2022

The program of the semi-finals of the Spanish Cup will continue with a meeting between Athletic and Valencia.

At the moment, Athletic are confidently holding in the middle of the La Liga peloton. However, the Basques are especially dangerous in the cup competitions. There they successfully passed three rounds, defeating Mancha, 2:0, Barcelona, 3:2, and Real Madrid, 1:0. And the team from Bilbao almost won the Super Cup. But there was a 0:2 defeat from the same Real Madrid.

For the second year in a row, the once formidable Valencia have been living away from the Champions League zone, and after a recent 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad, their position has not improved at all. In the Cup, Los Ches dealt with Utrillas (3:0), Arenteiro (3:1), Cartagena (2:1), Baleares (1:0) and Cadiz (2:1).

We wouldn't be surprised if Athletic want to create a handicap for themselves before the second leg. Given the current status of the Basques and their ability to perform at home, this scenario is quite real.
