The twenty-fifth matchday of the Premier League will start with an interesting match between Manchester United and Southampton.

Manchester United are actively fighting for getting into the Champions League and are now fifth in the standings with 39 points and a goal difference of 37:31. It should be noted that in 2022, the Red Devils played with mixed success against Wolverhampton (0:1), Aston Villa (2:2), Brentford (3:1), West Ham (1:0) and Burnley (1:1).

Tenth place, 28 points and a 29:36 scored-conceded ratio - Southampton have a calm season in the middle of the peloton, which suits them completely. On the previous five occasions, the Saints have been remembered for victories 4:1 over Brentford and 3:2 over Tottenham, draws 1:1 with the same Tottenham and 1:1 with Manchester City, as well as a 1:3 fiasco against Wolverhampton.

The main contenders for success in this pair are the hosts, whose playing potential is much higher. But we would not discount Southampton, because they are excellent in the attacking line.
