Inter Milan vs Liverpool F.C. Prediction 16 February 2022

On Wednesday, Milan will host the match of the first round of the Champions League playoffs between the ambitious Inter and Liverpool.

Until recently, Inter were the undisputed leaders of Serie A. But in the second half of January, Nerazzurri slowed down a bit, which led to misfires in duels with Napoli (1:1), Milan (1:2) and Atalanta (0:0), as well as forced victory 2:1 over Venezia. In the Champions League, the Milanese finished second in the quartet with Real, Sheriff and Shakhtar.

While Liverpool are in excellent condition - after a goalless draw with Arsenal in the League Cup, they triumphed in the next six meetings. In parallel, the Reds performed admirably in a tough Champions League group with Atlético, Porto and Milan, where they scored a maximum of 18 points on a 17-6 goal difference.

Bookmakers believe in the overall success of Liverpool, since their level is much higher, and Inter have less European Cup experience. But we believe that at least in their home arena, the Italians will impose a worthy competition on their opponent and will be able to avoid defeat.
