Crystal Palace vs Arsenal Prediction 5 August 2022

The London derby between Crystal Palace and Arsenal will kick off the first matchday of the Premier League.

Crystal Palace finished the 2021/22 campaign in a comfortable twelfth place with 48 points and a goal difference of 50:46. We would like to note that this summer the Glaziers were very carefully preparing for new challenges. They took part in nine friendly matches, five of which ended in their favor.

Prior to the match, Arsenal destroyed Sevilla 6:0 and won the Emirates Cup. And before that, the Gunners won five test matches with a total score of 19:5, after which they turned out to be weaker than Brentford - 1:2. A year ago, Arteta's men frankly failed at the finish line and eventually took only the fifth position outside the Champions League zone.

Arsenal's level is much higher, but Crystal Palace are not going to give up without a fight, as they are very tough at home. Our prediction is that the teams will either finish the World Cup, or the guests will win with a minimum score.
