FC Augsburg vs TSG 1899 Hoffenheim Prediction 17 February 2023

Augsburg and Hoffenheim, who claim to be relegated, will meet each other in the opening match of the twenty-first round of the Bundesliga.

Augsburg are no stranger to being in the bottom of the peloton and are currently thirteenth with 21 points and a goal difference of 25-36. It should be noted that if at home the Fugger family recently beat Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 and Bayer 1-0, then away there were defeats from Borussia Dortmund (3-4), Freiburg (1-3) and Mainz (1-3).

In a similar period of time, Hoffenheim were remembered for a 2:2 draw with Stuttgart, which was replaced by defeats from Union Berlin (1-3), Borussia Monchengladbach (1-4), Bochum (2-5) and Bayer (1-3). Unsurprisingly, at such a pace, the Blues fell to fourteenth place with 19 points, a 29-39 goal stat and just two points clear of the relegation zone.

As for us, due to the active support of the home crowd, Augsburg have a good chance of at least not losing to direct competitors. Hoffenheim, on the other hand, will have a hard time counting on success due to the terrible organization of the game in defense.
