FIFA to choose the best manager

FIFA to choose the best manager

The international football organization has announced three contenders for the best manager of the previous season award.

Last year, a real clash was between the football managers. Although many expected results from Jose Mourinho, Nico Kovac or Julen Lopetegui, they were not the main persons at all.

Before narrowing the applicants for the title of the best coach, the list also included such persons as Djamel Belmadi, head of the Algeria national team, Didier Deschamps with France, Marcelo Gallardo with River Plate, as well as national team coaches of Peru, Portugal and Brazil - Ricardo Gareca, Fernando Santos and Tite respectively. Eric Ten Hag concluded the list of managers who were not included in the final three, who gained respect for the performances of his young Ajax.

As for the final contenders, disputes regarding the winner will not subside even after the award. True, for Mauricio Pochettino it will be difficult to compete with Klopp and Guardiola. Despite the fact that Tottenham won nothing in comparison with the teams of the two previous managers, the Argentine himself earned praise and rewards. Pochettino, with limited resources, managed to reach the Champions League final and enter the Premier League top four. And his individual growth over the past season is a cut above his opponents.

The clash of Klopp and Guardiola once again occupies a leading position in sports media. The German and Liverpool won the Champions League when the Catalan took all the domestic championship awards. Even in the English Super Cup, Manchester City defeated the Reds and proved that they were not equal in England. Although on the international stage, the Klopp gang looks preferable.

At the moment, the teams are nearby in the championship after four rounds. Liverpool bypass the Citizens by two points, without losing points even once at the start of the season. Once again, Man City weres not lucky in a duel with Pochettino’s Tottenham so the intrigue for the reward to the best coach is spun to the limit. We can only say one thing with confidence: if three finalist managers for the title of the best in the world work in the Premier League, then there is no doubt that football returned to their homeland a little later than they expected. "It’s coming home!"
