Ramos wants to see Pogba at Real

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos regards Manchester United halfback Paul Pogba’s transfer positively.

The Madridian club did not manage to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer. Despite the fact that Los Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane had agreements with the Frenchman and even promised to purchase him, the transfer did not happen. Whereas Pogba was of higher priority for Zidane during the summer transfer window than even Eden Hazard, whom Real bought from Chelsea for 110 million euros plus bonuses.

Sergio Ramos expressed his opinion to Daily Express, claiming that Real would be happy to have such footballers as Paul Pogba,

“I think, Real’s doors are always open for such good players, like Pogba. For me, he is one of the best. Paul brings balance to the team, influences the team’s play in offense and has outstanding physique.”

Although in the summer, the transfer of the midfielder to Real Madrid fell through due to the fact that Manchester United did not want to make concessions, Zidane still wants to buy Pogba for his squad. According to the information of the Spanish media, the Frenchman wants to see his countryman and the World champion as a replacement for Luka Modric, whom they wanted to send to PSG this summer already for the purchase of Neymar.

However, Manchester United cling on to Pogba as the last hope. The thing is that although the club signed Wan-Bissaka and Maguire, there are no changes can be seen in the midfield. Moreover, the Red Devils’ manager Solskjaer put Pogba on the spot of a defensive midfielder, as did Mourinho, which completely put out of order counter-attacking actions of the team. Considering that Manchester United sold Romelu Lukaku, capable of clinging for long balls, the Mancunians have to construct offense through wings, which the Norwegian manager has not been able to do.
