Ramos supports Zidane

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos commented on rumors about Jose Mourinho's possible return to the club.

Sergio Ramos after a winning match with Sevilla gave an interview in which he expressed support for the current coach of Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane, despite the problems with the game of Los Blancos. The beginning of the season for the metropolitan Spanish team wasn’t too good. Despite investing more than 300 million euros on the roster this summer, the team lost four points in the championship, which is why it shares the first place with Athletic from Bilbao.

For five games of La Liga only in the last match, the goal of Real Madrid were inviolable from the goals of opponents. Sevilla delivered nine shots on target of Thibaut Courtois, but the Andalusian club players never hit the target. Real Madrid still have obvious problems with the squad, as Modric, Marcelo, Isco, Diaz and Asensio heal injuries, and newcomers in the person of Eder Militao and Luka Jovic are sitting on the bench.

The climax of the spread of rumors regarding the return of Mourinho was Real Madrid’s defeat away in the first round of the group stage of the Champions League from PSG (3:0). However, the team captain continues to stubbornly support Zinedine Zidane,

“We are with Zidane, despite previous results. Talking about other coaches is disrespectful to us.

We must stand firm on our feet and understand that there is a long way to go. One failure, and everyone is already starting to talk about the crisis. You still have time to talk about the crisis.”

We talked more than once about possible scenarios for the development of events at Real Madrid, as well as about Zidane's distrust of club president Florentino Perez because of unfulfilled promises. But at the same time, the club is gradually returning to a stable set of points in the championship, without losing in any of the first five rounds. Therefore, it’s really early to talk about Zidane’s resignation and it’s time to wait, at least until the winter transfer window, keeping abreast of events.
