Zidane is not happy with tie with Atletico

In the central match  of the Spanish La Liga round 7, the Madridian derby took place, in which the teams did not manage to determine the strongest and the match ended 0:0.

During the course of the match, Real Madrid possessed the ball more and as a result made more passes, but they almost never led to dangerous moments. It is hard to judge the encounter’s attacking potential, if the highest marks for the game were received by the defense line footballers of both teams.

Atletico tried to complete the attack 100% and shot from inside the penalty box. Although, the Mattressers had twice as little shots than their opponents. Real Madrid shot mainly from outside the penalty area, trying to catch Jan Oblak. But of all shots on target, only three shots were accurate and three more were blocked by Atletico players.

After the game, Real Madrid's head coach Zinedine Zidane was annoyed by the draw. The Frenchman said in an interview,

“We deserved more than one point. A lot more. But I have to congratulate the players, we again showed unity, once again leaving the goal intact. We were very good at defense, but something was missing in the attack.

We are working on this and, of course, we want to improve. When the game ends 0:0, of course, we can take more risks. But I tell you, in the future we will definitely improve. It was an opponent which tried to interfere with all our actions in the attack. We were a little short, but now we move on to the next game.”

Zidane also sang the praises to the Los Blancos winger Gareth Bale, whom he did not want to see on the team after his second arrival to Santiago Bernabeu. Now that he has to deal with who he is, the rhetoric of the coach’s conversation has changed. He praised the Welshman for playing well on the defensive and spurred him on his insufficient work in the attack.

However, Real Madrid do not concede in three La Liga matches in a row under the management of Zidane. This can be called an achievement, because Marcelo and Mendy missed the match due to injuries, and Nacho played on the left. Not surprisingly, Real Madrid's emphasis on the match against Atletico was shifted in favor of defense.
