Who needs Allegri?

Rumors are circulating around Juventus' former coach Massimiliano Allegri regarding his future job. Key candidates include Milan and Manchester United.

Last week, sports media have been actively circulating the return of Massimiliano Allegri to the work of the head coach. After five years at Juventus, the Italian took a short vacation, and Maurizio Sarri took his place.

But despite the rest, Allegri is going to pull into the football periphery. In particular, this applies to Milan. In the summer of this year, the leadership of Rossoneri appointed Marco Giampaolo head coach, replacing Gennaro Gattuso. But in the first six matches of the championship, Milan scored only six points, beating Brescia (1:0) and Verona (0:1), which is why they occupy 16th place in Serie A.

It is reported that Milan are considering the candidatures of Luciano Spalletti, Claudio Ranieri, Andriy Shevchenko and the return of Gattuso or Allegri. According to local sources, the club has an agreement with the coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko, but the goal scorer of Milan of the era of 2000’s set his conditions that he will head the club only in November, when he will bring the Blue-and-yellows to the European Championship 2020.

Allegri himself denies the option of returning to San Siro, so Manchester United can use his services. According to The Guardian, Massimiliano learns English and can soon replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as head coach of the Mancunians. An additional fact was his presence at the Tottenham vs Bayern match, although Mauricio Pochettino’s resignation after the disastrous start of the Spurs this season is also possible.

Given the prospects of Allegri, he certainly will not remain without work. But if you choose between Manchester United, Milan and Tottenham - the latter option looks the most acceptable. Tottenham has a decent line of defense, creative midfielders and an offensive attack. The team needs a better bench and a generation change in defense. Vertonghen and Alderweireld are age-old players and often do not keep pace with the brisk forwards, which was clearly seen in the match with Bayern. Allegri showed that he knows how to build a line of defense in Milan and Juventus, so with Spur resources, it will not be difficult to level this problem.
