Sarri is not in a hurry to talk about league title

In match day 11 of the Italian Serie A, barely took away the victory in the derby against Torino and remained on top of the tournament table.

Juventus this season got a new head coach, which is Maurizio Sarri, who replaced Massimiliano Allegri. Despite the fact that experts were expecting qualitative changes in the team and a shift in emphasis in favor of attack, Juve play the former pragmatic football. Nobody missed less than the Zebras this season of Serie A, and they scored only 19 goals, falling behind Napoli, Lazio, Atalanta, Roma and Inter on this indicator.

However, it cannot be said that Juventus have many injured attackers. On the contrary, all the acting figures of the last season consistently play in the line-up, but mostly defenders or midfielders scored in the last rounds. The team's top scorer is Ronaldo, followed by Miralem Pjanic with three goals and one assist. In the game with Torino, everything was decided by the exact blow of Matthijs de Ligt. It can be concluded that under Sarri everything remained as before.

Even despite Chiellini's injury, Juventus continue to put on his defense, not on the attack. This has already developed into a kind of club philosophy, thanks to which the Turin club successfully scores points in the league and wins Scudetto. The history and trends in Italy confirm their cyclical nature, and soon one can expect either a repetition of the Catenaccio period or the defeat of Juventus philosophy.

Maurizio Sarri remains adamant and is not going to show off his league advantage, paying tribute to his rivals,

“There are another 81 points in the draw. A little later, the situation in the table may lead you to another idea. It seems to me too early to talk about it. I understand that it’s more interesting for the press to create a stir around the confrontation between the two teams, but, frankly, it’s too early to think that the rest of the clubs are no longer in the race for the title,” Sarri said.

But when looking at the situation from a general perspective, it is safe to say that Juventus will at least take second place this season, since only Inter can defend qualitatively along with them. Roma, Atalanta, Lazio and Napoli, no matter how well attacked and scored an average of two or three goals per match, will still not be able to succeed in a rational and pragmatic championship where experience and tactics remain the cornerstone.
