Bayern are actively looking for manager

Bayern Munich after the sacking of Niko Kovac from the head coach post turned their attention to a former club player, Xabi Alonso.

After the departure of the club’s Croatian coach Niko Kovac, Hans-Dieter Flick came to the coaching post of the Munich club, who intends to work at least until Christmas. At the same time, the Bayern management is determined to look for a more competent specialist.

At the moment, the management of the Rekordmeister has chosen the manager of Ajax Amsterdam, Eric ten Hag, who is considering the proposal and is rumored to be interested in moving to Munich. Also, Rummenigge and the company are not averse to risking and inviting Xabi Alonso if the Dutchman refuses them.

The former Spanish midfielder of Liverpool, Real and Bayern is now working in the structure of his native Real Sociedad, in which he began his football career twenty years ago. Xabi is training the reserves of the Basque club, but, if necessary, will gladly return to Munich.

“I see him at Bayern one day. While still a player, he thought of himself as a coach. He is a very good strategist and speaks several languages confidently.

The future belongs to him,” said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the chairman of the Bayern Board of Directors, once.

Among the candidates on the shortlist of the Rekordmeister is their former coach Josep Guardiola. Bayern are thinking of contacting the Spaniard as a last resort, since he is completely satisfied with the work at Manchester City and luring him back to Allianz Arena will be very expensive and risky, since before he had never managed to reach the Champions League final. But at the same time, Bayern had no problems with Guardiola in the domestic arena. True, the competitors were then in an extremely depressing state, which contributed to the hegemony of the Munich club.

If you look at these three options, then Eric ten Hag looks the most optimal. The Dutchman has experience and ambitions in order to move to a more eminent club. Xabi Alonso has not yet shown himself in the coaching field, and Josep Guardiola is not very successful in the Champions League after leaving Barcelona. Therefore, the choice of Munich is obvious, but additional factors can always intervene, which will turn the picture upside down.
