Sane doesn’t want to play at Man City

Leroy Sane doesn’t want to extend his contract with Manchester City in spite of the injury, which he received in August this year.

This summer, Leroy Sane was rumored to go to Bayern and everything was going towards a transfer, as the player was not satisfied with amount of gaming practice, which he was given by Pep Guardiola. But in the English Super Cup match against Liverpool, the winger injured his cruciate ligaments and dropped out until the end of the year.

The Citizens, as reported by Bild, offered the contract extension to the German, but the latter responded with a refusal. Rekordmeister were seriously interested in Sane and because Kingsley Coman got injured in the match with Tottenham, the men from Munich need a replacement for the Frenchman. Previously, Bayern were ready to offer Manchester City about 100 million euros for Leroy, but because of the injury they decided to hold off the official offer.

It seems that during his treatment, the player contacted the club and considered further career options; therefore, he refused a great option with Manchester City. Guardiola’s idea regarding Sane was clear. The Spaniard used his as a joker, letting him out in the second half, thus refreshing the game. But it wasn’t enough for the German, as Joachim Low stopped considering him seriously and did not take to the World Cup last year.

That is why he wants to move to Germany, where he will have more gaming practice and will not have problems with adaptation.  But should Sane move to Bayern in the period of team rebuilding? Right now there is an unclear situation with the head coach and no clear strategy for the future, which is weird to see in the team from Allianz Arena. The footballer’s contract with the Citizens expires in 2021 and City will have get rid of the Joker in the near future, while they still can get a decent payment for him and find replacement.
