Solskjaer is not ready to risk Rashford

Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims that he is not ready to risk the health of Marcus Rashford in the game with Liverpool.

In match day 23 of the Premier League Liverpool will host Manchester United at Anfield. Despite the fact that the teams are in a different shape and claim different places in the end of the season, Man United remain the only team in the framework of the championship at the moment, which took away points from Klopp’s gang.

The Reds are confidently leading from match day 2 in the league, having 61 points in the asset, while the closest chasers have 14 points less. Besides, Klopp has a game in reserve against West Ham. The Merseysiders are going confidently and stamp victories stably, although they have certain problems with the line-up.

In the forthcoming North-West derby, Milner, Keita and Lovren are unavailable to Klopp, while Matip and Fabinho have a chance to come out on the pitch. Manchester United’s is not much better. McTomnay, Pogba, Rojo and Tuanzebe are absent there, while Shaw, Bailly, Fosu-Mensah and Rashford are in question.

The latter dropped out in the match with Wolverhampton. Back then, the Englishman got his back injured and couldn’t continue the game. Before the match with the Merseysiders, Soskjaer told about the state of affairs with the English forward,

“We will give him any amount of time to find out everything. Marcus will have several examinations and procedures today, but I am not expecting anything.

I think he will be ready [for the game with Liverpool], but there are 48 hours still ahead, so we will see,” Solskjaer said.

Before the previous game with Manchester United Jurgen Klopp complained that modern team managers of the opponent teams often lie regarding the health of the players to catch an opponent off guard. Therefore, the German is clearly getting ready to such a scenario, especially when Marcus Rashford himself recently agreed to enter the pitch with the help of painkiller shots. But even in this conditions Liverpool look a lot stronger than United also due to the fact that Klopp’s team spent its last game on 11 January and Manchester United replayed the English Cup match against Wolverhampton on 15 January. Bookmakers are confident in the Reds’ triumph (1.42), although Klopp’s relationship with the Red Devils isn’t too good. Out of 10 matches against Man united, the German won only twice.
