Icardi is full-fledged PSG player

On the last day of spring, Argentine forward Mauro Icardi joined PSG on full grounds.

After lengthy dramatic proceedings of Icardi with Inter Milan fans because of the statements of the footballer himself and his agent wife Wanda Nara, the player moved to Paris. Since the start of the current season he played for the French capital club on loan, spent 20 matches, scored 12 goals and made three assists. And also managed to win his first trophy – the French league title in spite of the fact that competitions inside the country were suspended.

The Argentine’s new contract is designed until 30 June 2024 and the player’s salary will be about eight million euros a year with various bonuses. The contract itself cost the Parisians more than 50 million euros. Half a hundred they gave away immediately and another eight million they were obliged to give the Milanese club as bonuses.

PSG do not depart from the transfer policy of the central strikers, where a clear generation change can be observed. At first, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and later Edinson Cavani were purchase for the edge. Now, when the Uruguayan forward has turned 33 and he intended to move to Atletico, so the bet was placed on the 27-year old Icardi, who is in full bloom.

Moreover, PSG benefited from the deal, considering the final transfer sum. Inter previously intended to sell Icardi for no less than 100 million euros. But when scandals inside the club began and Antonio Conte immediately made it clear that he is not counting on the problem forward, the Big Grass Snake was left with nothing but gaining at least some benefit. At first it was weakening of the salary budget, and now an influx of 50 million euros. In addition, the Italian club will receive an additional 15 million if PSG resells the player to another club.

Thus, all parties benefited. PSG managed to bring down the price of the player as much as possible, and Inter received some compensation before his contract with Neradzurri expired in 2022 and he became a free agent.
