Coutinho may be returned to Liverpool

Philippe Coutinho may return to Anfield, but only as a full transfer.

Catalan Barcelona do not know where to attach Brazilian winger Philippe Coutinho, whom they bought in the winter of 2018. At the moment the player performs at Bayern Munich and may remain in the squad of the German champions, if the club decides to buy out his contract. However, the Germans have no intention of paying 120 million euros for a player, who did not manage to book himself a spot in the starting line-up.

Despite the interest in Coutinho of some clubs of Italy and France, the footballer will most likely move to England. Newcastle, Chelsea or Tottenham are ready to accept him there. Whereas the Brazilian, as it was known previously, has no intention of moving to Liverpool opponents’ squad. Because of that, information appeared about the halfback’s return to Anfield.

If we think logically, then Coutinho’s return to Liverpool can give Jurgen Klopp’s team more variability in attack. With Adam Lallana and Xherdan Shaqiri’s departure, who did not manage to understand what Klopp demands from him, Coutinho may become the trump card, needed by the German. After the failure of negotiations with Werner, this is an additional opportunity for the manager to think of a new style of play and surprise opponents in the Premier League.

During his last half a season at Liverpool, Philippe didn’t really have a clear position at the pitch. He played on the wing and below the forward and even together with Firmino on the edge. Thanks to that, the Reds’ attack became more stable and the team was on the second place by goals scored after Manchester City.

Right now Coutinho is 27, he is in his prime physically. He lacks confidence in the game and tactically he doesn’t understand what managers require from him. If the deal takes place, Jurgen will be able to bring the Brazilian back to the present level and him a joker, which is necessary for the Merseyside club in the issue of the bench width and ideal content.
