Modric compared Zidane to Ferguson

Real Madrid midfielder Luca Modric praised the coaching qualities of his head coach Zinedine Zidane.

Luka Modric has been playing for Real Madrid for eight years and during this period he managed to work with some of the best coaches in the world. In particular, the Croat played under the management of Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafael Benitez and finally Zinedine Zidane.

In particular, the latter was singled out  by the last winner of Ballon d'Or amongst all the coaches with whom his fate in some way crossed,

“He's top. What he has achieved with us in recent years is simply impossible to repeat. But people do not appreciate it, they constantly question him, talk about different things. I hope everyone understands that he is untouchable.

When you hear people speaking on television and radio, complaining, criticizing... Well, if their words are constructive, I understand. But there are others whose claims are meaningless. He is an ideal coach for Real Madrid, he can become like Ferguson or Wenger,” Modric said.

The concept of such a coaching campaign, which was at Arsenal and Manchester United, does not quite fit the Madridian club in an ideological paradigm. Real Madrid are used to constantly moving forward, taking into account global trends and tendencies. Not every coach knows how to feel the time and trends, that is why Los Blancos set standards too high for managers, as a result of which they linger for a short time at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It turned out differently with Zidane. Modric witnessed how Real Madrid won the Champions League for three years in a row and was at the top, setting new records. This makes it clear why he is so sensitive to the French coach. Given the triumph in La Liga last season, Zizou could indeed stay in Madrid for a long time. As long as there are no squabbles with Florentino Perez about transfers, and the team's results and play will remain at a high level.
