Mbappe is in no hurry to extend contract with PSG

French PSG forward Kylian Mbappe dreads contract extension with his current club.

Mbappe moved to PSG from Monaco and immediately became the best young player in Europe to date. The forward has earned himself impeccable authority and also managed to win the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

At the same time, in recent years Kylian has been actively wooed into Real Madrid, which have not benefited from Eden Hazard. The Belgian is constantly injured, Karim Benzema is not getting any younger and Los Blancos need Mbappe. Most likely, everything is close to a deal next year, when Madrid will have a presidential election and Florentino Perez will want to satisfy the electorate with purchases of quality players.

Hence the worries of the 21-year-old striker, who has a contract with the Parisians until 2022. The club offers him an extension of the agreement for 150 million euros, but the player is afraid of the clause in the agreement about the impossibility of leaving. By the way, in recent years, Adrien Rabiot, Thiago Silva, Thomas Meunier, Kingsley Coman and Choupo-Moting left PSG as free agents, which only confirms the theory.

Neymar has the opposite situation. The club is in no hurry to offer the player a new contract, so the Brazilian himself and people close to him are worried about the player's fate. His contract, just like Mbappe's contract, is in force until 2022. Given this, PSG can make a knight's move and remove one of them for the good of keeping the other.

No wonder that choosing between the scandalous Neymar and the young Mbappe, the club will choose the latter. Therefore, in the coming year, it will become clear what career Kylian will prefer and whether he will throw himself a big challenge by moving to a new league. If PSG keeps the player, then he will clearly go down in the history of the club and the French championship, but the question of individual success may fade into the background. The same goes for the motivation of the player who won everything except the continental championship and the Champions League.
