Wolverhampton need Zinchenko

English Wolverhampton will try to acquire Ukrainian defender Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City in winter.

Oleksandr Zinchenko known for his performances for the giants of the English football, Manchester City. But recently, the Ukrainian more and more often sits on the bench, or even completely out of the line-up for the match.

At the same time, Pep Guardiola did not let him out on loan, and the footballer remained at Etihad, when there was an option to go to the Wolves camp earlier. The head coach of the team, Nuno Espirito Santo, positively assesses the skills of Zinchenko, who played at the club as a left-back and acts as a central midfielder in the Ukrainian national team without losing quality.

Wolverhampton finished seventh last season but missed out on the European competitions as London Arsenal took the FA Cup and secured a place in the Europa League. Because of this, the reputation of the Portuguese coach suffered slightly, as the club received less money. In the current Premier League season, the Wolves are only in 13th place after 12 played rounds and have scored less than Fulham (11 against 12), going above the relegation zone.

There may be several reasons for this. It is a terrible injury of Raul Jimenez, and the sale of Diogo Jota to Liverpool, and the unstable shape of Adama Traore, as well as the advanced age of Joao Moutinho. All this is superimposed on one another, which is why the team flounders in the middle of the table, although it seemed that due to fewer matches it should fight for a place in the top six.

Therefore, Nuno Espirito Santo needs a player of such caliber as Zinchenko. First of all, he is appreciated for his efficiency, and if he does not have vivid outstanding qualities, this does not mean that he is not worthy to fight in the Premier League. On the contrary, such a versatile soldier must be in command. Zinchenko is a young James Milner, who, although he does not shine with technique or speed, due to his work, is able to confidently play in almost any position. I think for Wolverhampton, as well as for Oleksandr himself, this transfer would be the best solution.
