Odegaard: I am happy at Arsenal

Real Madrid midfielder, who is on loan at Arsenal, Martin Odegaard, doesn’t mind staying in the Albion.

Martin Odegaard came to Real Madrid in the middle of the last decade. But due to his young age, he constantly found himself out on loan. He performed for the Madrid reserves, Heerenveen, Vitesse, Real Sociedad and Arsenal, in which he is now.

Last season turned out to be a leap in development of the Norwegian. Martin was an important link in the Basques’ game, thanks to which they finished sixth in the Spanish league. Zinedine Zidane tried to make the guy play at Real Madrid, but all of his performances were not productive as Los Blancos play without a clear ten, which suits the playmaker best. Therefore, Mikel Arteta tried to take Odegaard under his wing.

Odegaard himself is positive about his move to England, even taking into account the loan agreement, which will expire this summer,

“I have said many times that I need stability, but so far I have not been able to find it. I think this is very important. At Arsenal, I am happy and enjoy it. I like it here, and now my attention is focused on successfully completing the season, and then we'll see.

The agreement with Arsenal is calculated until the end of the season. Let's see what happens in the summer. I do not give up my words: the key for me is stability and development,” Odegaard said in an interview.

Arsenal made their way to the Europa League quarter-finals. Judging by the standings in the championship, the only chance to keep Martin in London is to win the second European club tournament and get a ticket to the Champions League. This will give Mikel Arteta the flexibility to maneuver the transfer campaign to complete the team.

We would like to see a similar alignment, because at Real Madrid Odegaard really does not have a place in the squad while the team is playing under the management of Zidane. Arsenal is a great opportunity to realize the potential of the Norwegian and grow together with partners and the coach.
