Louis van Gaal is back in big football!

Barcelona, Ajax, Manchester United and Bayern former manager is back in action! He has returned to the Netherlands national team.

The Netherlands national team has failed in major tournaments in recent years. They missed the 2016 European Championship, then did not go to the 2018 World Cup and hoped for Euro 2020. But as practice has shown, the replacement of Ronald Koeman with Frank De Boer was a bad decision in the face of the departure of the former to Barcelona.

The Dutch reached the round of 16, where they lost to the Czech Republic and left the tournament. But now Louis van Gaal is back at the helm. The Iron Tulip coached Oranje in 2000/01 and from 2012 to 2014. He has a Brazilian World Cup semi-final and third place with the national team in his asset. The coach's last job was at Manchester United in 2016, after which he announced his retirement.

But in order to save the chances of the national team, he returns! A little over a year is left before the World Cup in Qatar and the management of the Royal Dutch Football Association made the right choice. There are several arguments for this,

Firstly, Van Gaal does not need to get used to working on the national team. He knows the difference between working in a club and a national team;

Secondly, he knows what this team can achieve. The Iron Tulip was clearly not wasting time and was watching the players that Frank De Boer chose and those he did not call;

Thirdly, Louis is not afraid to make difficult decisions. Throughout his coaching career, Van Gaal went against everyone and was responsible for his own actions. Just remember his substitution of goalkeepers in the extra times of the 2014 World Cup quarterfinal match against Costa Rica, which brought him to the semifinals!

Therefore, we consider Van Gaal's return to be a success for the Dutch football Association. He will clearly be motivated to make a candy out of these young guys who, due to their hot temper and ambition, do not have a lot of emotions. We think a year later, we will see a clear contender for the title in Qatar from this team of the Netherlands.
