Pavel Nedved: Ronaldo stays at Juventus

Juventus Turin vice-president Pavel Nedved has commented on the future of the club’s leading players Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Giorgio Chiellini.

The news of Ronaldo's possible departure from Juventus graced the headlines of most publications this summer. There were options for a return to Sporting, but they quickly stopped. Although PSG joined the saga, which were considering this option with a replacement for Kylian Mbappe. However, the Portuguese did not want to be a reserve number in history and it did not go far.

Therefore, Pavel Nedved confirmed that the forward will remain at Juventus for the next season. He also reassured fans about the future of Dybala and Chiellini,

“Director Cherubini has already contacted Dybala's agent, who will arrive in Turin next week. There is enough time to resolve the issue with the contract, this is not a problem.

Ronaldo will return to training on Monday. He will stay with us. When Chiellini returns from vacation, we will also be able to discuss everything,” Nedved told Sky Sport Italia.

It seems to me that the decisive factor for Ronaldo was the fact that Massimiliano Allegri became the head coach of the club. The coach easily found contact with top players and contributed to the adaptation of the Portuguese in Turin immediately after his transfer.

PSG would be an interesting challenge for the forward, given the tasks and progress the Parisians have made in recent years in the Champions League. But so far this is not included in Ronaldo's plans. Perhaps he will leave after next season, when the contract with Juventus expires, and he does not sign a new one. Thus, PSG will be strengthened by a cool free agent again.

Given the planned development of Manchester United, we don't really see Cris returning to Old Trafford. It would be a beautiful story, but it can only stall the progress of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's project, if in the coming season the Red Devils show a decent result and win something. Therefore, a voyage to PSG in recent years looks most likely. Ronaldo will completely go through the path of David Beckham, so to speak, overtaking the style icon also with the results.
